The latest 'it' shoe does not come courtesy of Christian Louboutin, Manolo Blahnik or even Nicholas Kirkwood. Instead, the new A-list foot fetish comes via German old lady brand Worishofer, which is seducing style savvy celebs from Maggie Gyllenhaal to Kirsten Dunst with its cork wedges and grandma styling.
Not only do these orthopedic babies promise to sooth bunioned and tortured feet, they're also well below classic 'it' pricing territory - around $70 in the US.
And for those that like their granny sandals a little more edgy, look no further than M.I.A., who sported a gold version with white sports socks on David Letterman's show in the US.
What do you think? Could you be tempted to rock this sensible shoe trend or is this a foot fetish to avoid at all costs? Leave a comment below and let us know!
